Time Groups

A time group allows you to divert calls to different destinations during set time periods such as an out of hours message or an external number.

For example, if your business opens at 9:00 -17:00, Monday to Friday then a time group could be set up to divert calls to a destination of your choosing outside of those hours while ringing in your office during the hours.

To set up a time group you would need to login to your MyIntegra then navigate your way to Hosted VoIP > Manage > Features > Time Groups

Once you have navigated your way to the time groups tab, you will need to create a time group. This can be done by pressing the New button, you will then need to give your time group a name.

When you have created your new time group you will create a time period within the time group. Give your time period a name such as working hours and then enter the days, months, years and times required and then press the Save button.

Once you have saved this time period, you can then set features (such as Telephone Numbers and Feature Codes) to use the time group and route your calls to other destinations during those hours.

Navigate to Devices & Numbers and then Telephone Numbers or Feature Codes and select the required record to add your time group to, click the Time Routes tab and press New, here you can choose the time group you just created and the destination you wish calls to route to.

You can create multiple Time Periods within a time group so you can cover split days. Christmas and New Year are good examples of doing this:

  1. Create a Time Group – Name: Christmas/New Year
  2. Create 2 Time Periods inside this Time Group:
    1. Christmas:
      • Enter the times you are CLOSED
      • You can leave ALL days selected
      • Choose 25th, 26th in DAYS
      • Choose December in MONTHS
      • You can select just the current year, or leave all selected
    2. New Year
      • Enter the times you are CLOSED
      • You can leave ALL days selected
      • Choose 1st in DAYS
      • Choose January in MONTHS
      • You can select just the current year, or leave all selected

The above example for Christmas & New Year will cover 25th + 26th December and 1st January

So in your Time Route on the Telephone Number OR Feature Code, you just need to select this 1 Time Group which contains both of those Time Periods.

There are many variations possible with Time Groups, all based on logic, so providing what you have created makes logical sense, your routing will work.
